The European ACES awards for University Entrepreneurs aim to give public recognition to those who have done the most in that year to foster a culture of enterprise, the ultimate aim being to improve the flow of ideas out of European laboratories and into the marketplace.
The award was given to Andrew Lynn in recognition of his achievements as founder of a successful spin-out from a collaboration between the University of Cambridge and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The MIT Technology Review TR35 is an annual list of 35 outstanding men and women under the age of 35 who exemplify the spirit of innovation in business and technology.
Andrew Lynn was awarded a place in TR35 2009 as one of the young innovators 'who will create the future by transforming existing industries and establishing new ones'.

The Chamber Awards were launched by the British Chambers of Commerce in 2004 to recognise and celebrate business excellence through the successes and achievements of its Accredited Chambers of Commerce and their members.
Independent judges praised Orthomimetics for spotting a gap in the market and securing the funding for its cutting edge treatments for the repair of damaged joints.
